Beekeepers Festival

The Festival of the Beekeepers is a traditional event dedicated to beekeeping and folklore, organized annually at the end of August in the commune of Cernești, Maramureș County. This year's edition (2026) took place from August 29–30. The event brings together over 100 beekeepers from the region and is the perfect opportunity for locals and tourists to celebrate the products of the hive and the traditions of the area.

Cultural Significance

Connects beekeeping traditions with the gastronomy and rural culture of Țara Chioarului.
